As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

THE SUMMER I LEARNED TO FLY BY DANA REINHARDT
Drew learns about herself and life in this story. It's a coming of age story that will fit in any library. Fine for middle school library. Well written and touching about a girl and her new found friend who is a runaway searching to cure his little brother. It's a good read.
