It's a good story that starts slow and build up to the evolution of Finley and his relationship with the people who become part of his world.

The Whisperwood Legacy by Jo Schulte I could see this being made in to a Disney Plus series. IT's good and fine to add to any high school library. A bit Gothic, Dark and dangerous. Not a slasher story but it feels like the potential to be deadly. It's a good read.

The Apprentice Witch #1 The Apprentice Witch by James Nicol I liked this book. The main character Arianwyn has a haunting glif that she knows is dangerous. Learning from her grandfather and goes out to help another village, she makes new friends. And then the mayor's niece shows up. A girl who tormented Arianwyn back in their home town. Meanwhile danger becomes much more intense. A good read. Fine for any school library.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer is a prequal to Alice in Wonderland. Marissa Meyer's bring characters to life in her retelling of well known stories. A young girl who just dreams to be a baker and go against her family wishes fall in love with a young man from the mirror world. This is their story. A good read and a good audio book. Fine for any high school library.

Assistant to the Villain is a very entertaining story. It's fantasy and romance. Mainly adult but it could be YA as well. I liked this story a lot and look forward to reading book 2. A lot of humor in this magical story. Enjoy.

The Story Collector by Evie Gaughan , Evie Woods

The Story Collector is like a dark Hallmark Chrismtas story. It's a good solid story. I liked it very much. The balance of the two stories in two different time frames works well. Enjoy. I recommend for adult reading.

The Ghost Cat by Alex Howard

The Ghost Cat is a brilliant story that follows a cat after he passes on. He has an attatchment to the little girl who rescued him and watches her as a ghost over years when he returns in different periods of time. And he also gets to see his home changes over time. A good read and travel through history.

Spectacular is part of the Caraval series. I love this series. Legend is sthe love interest of Donatella. He's always u for magical adventures. Add this series to your reading list.

The Librarian of Crooked Lane is a fantastic story. Magic, Romance and potential mystery plus more. A good read and could easily be a YA book. This book is my new favorite fantasy book. Fine for high school libraries.

THe Ex Hex is definitely adult with mature content. It's one sexy book. I got the book for free and I ended up listening to the audiobook. It's entertaining.

The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo is one of my favorite modern authors. The Familiar is definitely an adult book that takes you back in time to Spain and the Inquisition. People are being persecuted for dangerous reasons. A young servant girl, yearing for more then her dreary life, is caught making miracles and now is forced in to a competition. A mysterious man is helping her. Each has their secrets as she navigates around others who are also talented and equalling cunning. A good read and a good audiobook.

The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst

The Spellshop is a great story and I hope it becomes a series. I know plenty of high school students who would enjoy this story. It's on my shopping list. I listened to the audiobook. It's good. I love the characters and the plot and it's what I would call a comfort book to read, especially after something that might be heavy. Enjoy.
