All the Lovely Bad Ones by Mary Downing Hahn

All The Lovely Bad Ones is written for older elementary students & middle school students. I wasn't really impressed with the story. It's okay. Fine for school libraries but not my favorite.

The Ghost Cat by Alex Howard

The Ghost Cat is a brilliant story that follows a cat after he passes on. He has an attatchment to the little girl who rescued him and watches her as a ghost over years when he returns in different periods of time. And he also gets to see his home changes over time. A good read and travel through history.

Gallant by Victoria E. Schwab

Gallant is a dark ghost story with the required odd orphan. It works. It is dark. I listened to the audiobook. It's fine for any school library.

Sheine Lende by Darcie Little Badger

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/190854829-sheine-lende I am impressed with this story. THe audio book is well done. This is the story of a teen who goes in search of missing people and then it becomes more personal when her mother goes missing. Told in Sheine's perspective and filled with backstories that fit in perfectly. A good book to add to any high school library. A good read for sure!

Pony by R. J. Palacio

This is a multi layered book.  A good read and very engaging.  Ghosts, bad guys and steeped in a past time.  There's a murder mystery and one determined young lad.  A good read.  Add this to your school library for middle school and upper elementary.

An Inquiry into Love and Death by Simone St. James

This is a modern gothic tale of a murder mystery.  There is a ghost story that terrorizes the locals but there is also two more mysteries in the story.  It's an interesting read.  Not a cozy read but more of a dark mystery.

Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

The story is fine just a bit different.  I don't know if I'd pick it for my high school library.  I think it will appeal to a small group of readers.

Jackaby Ghostly Echoes By William Ritter

If the TV show Supernatural show was set in the late 1800's/early 1900s, you would have the Jackaby series.  It's a great read.  A dark read but also really good.  I plan on getting the series for my school library.  Audio book also good.  Enjoy.

Wow this is one intense read.  I couldn't put it down.  It's different but I think it would be fine for high school libraries.  Very dark and then charged with emotion at the end.

Jackaby by William Ritter

I found a new series to enjoy.  Smartly written, with snappy dialog and dark mystery.  The two team well and no romance between them.  A good read, enjoy.  Fine for any high school library.

Cassidy Blake Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab

Book 2 felt a bit forced in the story.  It's alright but I wasn't too wild about the story.
