As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Uprising by Jennifer A Nielsen
This is a perfect story to add to a middle school library and also for using to teach Poland history. Uprising is based on a real person. The audiobook is also very good.
This fleshes out history and the Polish Uprising. It's worth having in your school library. An important read.

They Went Left by Monica Hesse
Wow. What happens after the camps are open? After the survivors who walk out of the Nazi camps, can they reunite and rebuild their lives. People having been moved all over, how do you know who's alive and who is looking for you? Go on a journey with Zofia as she is looking for her brother. She knows the rest of her family are dead. A very good read. The audio book also very good. I am getting for my high school library.

Irena’s Children by Tilar J. Mazzeo
So getting this for my high school library. A must read to understand the brave people who sacrificed so much to save the Jewish people of Warsaw, Poland. That evil must be stopped. That ordinary people make the difference. It's the true account of events surrounded by one special woman, Irena. It's an important read. The audio book also very good.
