I love Kate Dicamillo stories and I love animals. It's a silly story. I didn't love this story because Leroy didn't plan and prepare for a horse in his life. He didn't do his research. You could use this story as a teaching moment and ask readers wht should Leroy have done to prepare for an animal before he got one.
