Finding Home by Karen Kingsbury
Finding Home is fine for young children. Children who may have to adjust to big moves and leaving friends behind but having family to help you through would be a good fit. One missing aspect would be diversity of people. But it's fine. Audibook also good.
When Among Crows by Veronica Roth
When Among Crows by Veronica Roth comes from a Polish saying. It's a complex story that works beautifuly. I would say this is reading level for adults and not fitting into a high school library. I chose this book because I enjoy reading Roth's work and what a pretty cover. The voice actors did a great job. Lots of underworld characters and action. Love Baba Jaga. Enjoy.

The Many Deaths of Laila Starr by Ram V and Filipe Andrade
The Many Deaths of Laila Starr is rather a philosphical graphic novel. I liked it very much. Death takes a journey and ends up dying multiple times as she seeks the child who will invent immortality. She finds him over the years and he knows that she has met with him over his lifetime. The gods featured in this graphic novel comes from India. It's a good read. I would like to add it to my high school library. Read the book first. f

Sweet Nightmare by Tracy Wolff
Sweet Nightmare is a teen story of monsters trapped on an island. They are usually humans but sometimes, dragons, vampires, wolves and more become their ownselves. Powerless by Lauren Roberts
Powerless by Lauren Roberts is a survival game of life as a teen girl, orphaned by the king, gets trapped into a web of politics and must participate in a last man still standing wins. I've see it before with Hunger Games but a different bit of a take. It's fine for high school library.
Warrior Girl Unearthed by Angeline Boulley

The Ogress and the Orphans by Kelly Barnhill
The Ogress and the Orphans by Kelly Banhill is a perfect allegory of how mobs of people can worship a politician and believe every word they say. How kindness can make a difference. How people can be incited into a dangerous mob. A good allegory of the Nazi regime of a certain orange politician who incitied violence in a certain capital city. Yep I went down that road. It's a goo story just to read or listen to. Perfect for any school or public library. Hopefully some radical person doesn't try to ban this book. A good story with a lesson if you look for it. The Davenports lived in the time of the 1900s. It's mainly the story of two black affluent families and one family maid who have dreams and desire. It turns out their dreams don't match the parents. Loosly based on a real person. There is a lot of affectionate demonstrations between young lovers. Basically PG affections. Will the young people follow their dreams or their parents dreams? Home is Not a Country by Safia Elhillo
I think currently immigrants are being used as pawns by political candidtates for president during this election year. Sadly there is a group that bullies immigrants and using this as a political point. I don't think we fully understand life for immigrants. Home is Not A Country brings us into a teen's world and how changes can be difficult and family relationships can be challenging. I listened to the audiobook and thought it was a solid story.
