Kate is one angry teen girl, she's smart and tough and will kill monsters. Her father is one of the leaders of the city. Her mother killed by monsters. August is a monster that plays violin and kills evil people.
This Savage Song has lots of twists and turns. The audiobook also very good. Fine for high school libraries.
