As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

The Deep & Dark Blue by Niki Smith
This graphic novel is about twin brothers running and hiding for their lives. They dress up as girls to disguise themselves and live in a sort of convent. One brother identifies with being a girl and wants to stay that way. The other brother learns to understand. In the meanwhile, they must rescue their kingdom from a dangerous enemy. I would say read the book before you decide to put it in your library. I personally think it is fine.
