As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

I survived The California Wildfire, 2018 by Lauren Tarshis
It's simply told, an easy read for elementary and middle school. What I like, since I live in California and have a house that almost got caught in a wild forest fire, is that it impresses the seriousness of how dangerous wild fires are. It brings up topics as dangerous animals can be displaced, and how fire fighters are trained in what they are doing. It's a good read for young people. Lots of information.
