As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Sauerkraut by Kelly Jones
This is not a scary book at all, it's about family. HD is both of color and German and he's working on connecting to his German roots. He's very talented in cobbling items to make computers. When his Great Grandmother comes into his life, he learns bits and pieces of family history. It's a sweet read.
