As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Finding Chika by Mitch Albom
This is the story of Mitch Albom and his wife taking in a little girl from Haiti who need treatment for a brain tumor. How a child entered into their world and changed them in so many ways as they also make an impact on her life. Chika was full of life and was an amazing child. It's a good read. Get a hankie with this one. It's a beautiful story. The audio book is infused with Chika recordings. A truly sweet story.
