As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Lots of sexual tension in this story plus a few fbombs and baudy verses. It's a entertaining read but perhaps better for public libraries and private libraries. I would skip this one for high school but I do want to find out what happens in book 2.
