Serafina and the Twisted Staff by Robert Beatty
With the Biltmore as the background and the vast forest around it, this dark fantasy continues in book 2. Magic and history blend together in the good vs. evil story. It's a good book. Enjoy. Fine for children's and middle school libraries.
