As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

If you love Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn, you'll love this. It's a fun light read. Enjoy. Fine for any school library.
Frozen II Forest of Shadows by Kamilla Benko
Hello Girls by Cavallaro & Henry
Thelma and Louise like story, build up drama as things go from worse to even more worse is he drive of this story plot. I liked the book on a personal level and would consider it more for adult then young adult. I would not add this to a high school library. It is filled with crime, theft and murder. Public library would be better.

The 30 Day Money Cleanse by Ashley Fienstein Gerstley
I listened to the audio book and was impressed how clear, easy and honest she presents her topic of saving, spending and managing money. I ordered a copy for me and I will order a copy for my school library. It's an important read.
The Donkey Egg by Stevens & Crummel
Great story and simple pictures to tell the tale of a fox that may or may not have outsmarted a bear.
I am getting this book for my high school for my business and marketing class. I think it would fit perfectly for this class with a simple lesson. Making the most and growing opportunities. It's a good read and fine for any school library. Enjoy.
All-American Muslim Girl by Nadine Jolie Courtney
I am so getting this for my high school library and book talking it. It's a must for all high school libraries to add to their collection. I looked at the author's page on Good Reads. I would love for her to come to my high school. If you ever make it to Fresno, California, come talk to my high school students. You nailed it. A good read and insightful. The author writes with great authenticity.
Thank you for writing this book.
Thank you for writing this book.
I Hope You Get This Message by Farah Naz Rishi
You will either like this book or not. I'm in the middle. I found it interesting. The story line was good. It was dealing with various issues. A mother with mental health and a teen taking care of her. A boy who thinks another boy is cute and wants a relationship with him. Family issues, life issues are embedded in this story. Fine for high school libraries.

The Trials of Apollo The Tyrant’s Tomb by Rick Riordan

This book is very funny. Truly entertaining. If you have a reluctant reader, here you go. They will be laughing a lot. By the way, the audio book is excellent. Read by various authors. The words come alive in the voices of the authors. The authors nailed it both in writing and in voice. Enjoy. I plan on getting for my high school library. I know my 9th graders will enjoy. I did.

Butterfly Yellow by Thanhha Lai
This is a beautiful story filled with pain and joy, patience and love. A little boy is mistakenly sent to America. A dangerous journey, years later filled with pirates and death are entwined with the long awaited family reunion. A young man dreams to be a cowboy and rodeo hero but really has no idea what that all entails goes on his own journey. A sister and a cowboy go in search of a brother. It's a good read. Also good audio book. Good one to add to the high school library. Well crafted.
The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett
It's a good read and fine for high school students. I think this would fit a small population of readers. The genre is good and the story is well crafted. I think more for serious readers. Audio book also very good. Enjoy.
Runemarks by Joanne Harris
If you like mythology, Norse Mythology and adventure this would be a story for you. I would say not for your average teen, more those really into mythology. It's filled with layers. Enjoy.

Hamilton High Eddie’s Choice by Marilyn Reynolds
Marilyn Reynolds keeps serious teen issues real. A retired teacher who really never retired, she works with many teens helping them write their own stories. This series is very popular at both high schools that I have worked in. Keep this series stocked.

Words on Fire by Jennifer A. Nielsen
Jennifer A Nielsen, knows how to tell a story. Taking an episode in history and bringing it to life. It's a good read.
We Walked the Sky by Lisa Fiedler
I liked this book with the two stories that entwine together. This is fine for high school libraries. Enjoy. It's a good read.
The Never Tilting World by Rin Chupeco
I didn't really like the story. It's not for high school there's some descriptive sex going on. Just a heads up.
Girls Like Us by Cristina Alger
It's a good read. Because I do read a lot, I already figured out who the murderer was but I didn't know why. But that's me. It's a deep dark world of corruption. I liked this book very much and I would recommend the book to others. I would say more for adults not for teen libraries. Teens could read the book, I just wouldn't add it to a high school library. I happen to like "Who Done It" mysteries and this was successfully written. Audio book also very good. Enjoy.
I’m Not Dying With You Tonight by Jones and Segal
It's a good read and I am getting for my high school library. Could such an event happen. Sadly there was in the news a mob event that did take place. On a more personal note, my own library was on lock down because some a mob of boys were trying to fight a small group of boys from a different cultural background. What is going on in the world?
Alex Stern Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
I don't think I would put this one in the school library. There is some mature content (sex and drugs). It's part occult, part magic and lots of murder. I enjoy Leigh Bardugo books but this one is a departure from her past books. It is a good read just for older readers.
A Wolf Called Wander by Rosanne Parry
Fans of W Bruce Cameron will enjoy this book. Written as the wolf is telling his story. Fine for any library shelf. Enjoy.
A River of Royal Blood by Amanda Joy
It's an intense story that goes beyond sibling rival. Secrets reveal of things done years ago. It's fine for high school libraries. Enjoy.

Aven Green Momentous Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling
This was a pleasant surprise. I am looking forward to reading the first one. You don't need to read the first one, the book recaps a bit of what happened before. I like Evan Green. She's a girl who's figuring out high school but with more of a challenge because she was born with out arms. There's a mean boy who does hurtful things and there are horses, lamas and elderly. Also looking for her father's family, since she's adopted. Perfect for any school library. worth it! Audio book also good.

Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind Them All by Laura Ruby
This book has two stories that thread within each other. A ghost is telling what she is seeing of two sisters living in an orphanage. The ghost also travels around. I enjoy that she goes to the library. It's the depression era and also WWII, later on. Growing up in the Chicago Catholic orphanage reveals a glimpse of a life that is a challenge. This is a great story and fine for any high school library for older mature readers. Also good adult read as well. Audio book also very good.

War Girls by Tochi Onyebuchi
There is a lot going on in this story. Lots of action. I got lost in this story, I had trouble following the story plot. I wasn't always sure what was going on. I would say read this book before you purchase.
