As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

The Secret of Nightingale Wood by Lucy Strange
This has elements of history with in the story traveling back to a time when mental health was treated brutally. The little girl makes friends with a women living in the woods. No one seems to know she exists. People believe that she is making it all up. She's a very clever little girl. Perfect for any children's library or middle school library.
