I loved this book. Sophie writes to her dead grandmother to let her know what is going on. Sophie misses her grandmother and Los Angeles, where she grew up. Farm life is a new experience for the family. I had chickens when I grew up and I loved every page of this. There's a great twist in the story. You'll have to read it to find out what happens. Perfect for any school library
