As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Other Words for Home by Jasmine Warga
Imagine having to flee the land that you grew up so you can live. What is it like to move to a new country? To learn new ways. In America, it is sad that some people, even leaders of politics are saying Go back from where you came from. This book is an opportunity for all of us to understand and appreciate what it must be like to wish you could go back but realize that it could be a death sentence. It's a good book and fine for any school library.
