Louisiana’s Way Home by Kate DiCamillo
This is a sweet book that reminds me a little of Polly Ana and Tom Sawyer. Granny is not playing with a full deck. She probably has the start of dementia. Louisiana is just a little girl trying to survive. It's a good story and good characters.
Summer Seaside Kitchen The Café by the Sea by Jenny Colgan

This is modern literature in retelling/reinventing Moby Dick. It's told in the perspective of Bathsheba, the whale. Whale culture is invented and works well. Great illustrations also.
