As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Valdemar The Family Spies The Hills Have Spies by Mercedes Lackey
This is a great starting story that will fit a large grade range of school libraries. I enjoyed the family aspect and the adventures. The dangerous and unknown "Master" stays in the shadows and builds the drama of the story. The star of the story is the young boy who has a partner in saving his world and stands up for what he believes in and also must learn to be a spy. Tested to the max and placed in positions where he musts make adult choices, this young boy shares his thinking as to what consequences will happen to the choices he makes. It is a great new series. Enjoy!
