This book has it all, lots of life problems that some teens must face. Tim is an alcoholic at a very young age. Alice is taking care of her younger brothers and sisters, while dad is recovering from a car accident and mom is working and also is with child. I would say this book is rated PG 13 and not for the school library. There is sex in the book. It's a very good book and I would recommend it to mature readers. I'm glad the public library carries this book.
