As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Soundless by Richelle Mead
In a silent world, people have to sign to communicate. Fae wakes up to sound one day and that sets her on a journey. The story is fine for high school libraries. I just thought the story was rather slow and had some hiccups in the story line.
Dead Reckoning by Mercedes Lackey, Rosemary Edghill and Jane Hodson
I liked this story. I hope the author's write another story. The characters are entertaining and each character has a rich backstory. This story is fine for any high school library. I haven't seen the Walking Dead series but if you like an entertaining zombie story set as a western, then enjoy.
Charmed Life by Diana Wynne Jones
I'm a fan of Diana Wynne Jones, this story is a new series to me. I like the dynamics of the temper tantrum Gwen and innocent younger brother Cat. Find out why he's nicknamed Cat. It's a good story and fine for any school or private library. Enjoy.
Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
Pretty intense story with lots of political power and fighting for the power with the use of magic. It's fine for any high school library.

Unearthly: Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
The story continues. Filled with adventure, romance and a bit of survival in the war of angels. It's not easy being a teen but to have unusual background makes it that much more interesting. It's a fine story for high school and will add to my high school. Enjoy. Oh and audio book also very good.

The Whole Thing Together by Ann Brashares

The Book Jumper by Mechthild Glaser
This is translated from German. It is brilliant and well written. Fantasy at it's best for any reader to enjoy. Meet the characters from famous children's books and enjoy. Find out who the dangerous people are. It's magical. Enjoy. Audio book also very good.
How to Hang a Witch: Haunting the Deep by Adriana Mather
This story works. What's interesting is that the story really comes from the author's family story. She actually had a relative that survived the Titanic sinking. With family stories and journals and letters, she creates a fictional account that is part historic and part fantasy. Enjoy. I'll get for my high school library.
How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather
I didn't know that I would like this series. It's good. And I ended up reading the second book. Actually I listened to the audio books. What's interesting is Adriana Mather, the author is actually a relative of Cotton Mather. Many generations later but she created a story. It's pretty cool. There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins
This is one teen horror book. A serial killer is on the lose. Would I buy it for my school? Probably not. The story had some good points but overall I would skip it.
Jane, Unlimited by Kristin Cashore
This is one very interesting story. I love and adore Kristin Cashore. Met her at CSLA 2017 and heard her speak. This story is very different. Let's just say if you are a Doctor Who fan, you will get this book. I liked the book but I'm thinking it's not for every read. There are alternative endings to this story. Enjoy.
A Million Junes by Emily Henry
This is a great story. A little bit of paranomral and a bit of love story for teens. Fine for any high school library. I have in my high school library. Enjoy.
The Alice Network by Kate Quinn
This is an intense story. The audio book is also good. There was a real spy network of women fighting the fight. This historical fiction works well, very believable and the page turner. It should be in high schools so students and adults understand the sacrifices that were made. I would say for older mature readers some of the women are tortured and also forced to have sex. Again this is a good book. It's historical drama at it's best. It's a good read.
