I love Monster.  The story of a boy who dreams of creating movies and yet makes a bad choice and get's involved in a robbery goes bad.  He is now in jail on trial.

This book is a prequel to the book.  It's a very short book.  20 pages.  There's a lot of street talk.

Walter Dean Myers passed away but his writing lives.  He knew how to write.
