As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
The intensity of this story draws you immediately into the story. Solid characters and plot make this story a page turner. I should warn that there is violence and brutality. It's a story that will fit in to a high school library. A story that takes place in two different planets. It's a good story. Brutal but the story brings you in. Also what works, is that the story is told in two different perspectives. Cyra the princess of pain and Akos the farm boy who wants to protect his brother.
