As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
The mystery of one missing little girl, and an accident told in flashbacks and two sisters who once were close and now rift apart are in pain. Dara the youngest is making terrible choices, drugs, party and worse. When Dara disappears on her birthday, Nick goes to terrible places to look for her.
Lauren Oliver can write. Anything she writes for teens about teens, read. I would say yes for library with mature audience. It's a good but intense read. One comment, the parents are portrayed as disconnected and not directly involved in their children's lives. Arrgh.
