This is an awesome series. It's worth the audio version as well. There are so many layers to this story. I love the cadence of the writing and the solid diverse characters. You just never know how this story is going to play out. Perfect series for any library. Good for either boys or girls to read. For High school libraries. It's not an easy read so not for reluctant readers unless audio. It's an awesome series. If you like Star Wars with out science fiction and Lord of the Rings with out elves and dwarfs and sword fights, this is a good modern contemporary story involving an ancient legend.
