As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Blackout By Robison Wells
I read Robison Wells' first series Variant and enjoyed it. I like this new series so far, Blackout. It's a bit the moment before the world becomes apocalyptic with teens with special powers. Some are good and some are bad. It's a solid story and solid characters. There are some terrorists in the story. It's fine for any high school library. Enjoy!
