As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Six-Gun Snow White by Catherynne M. Valente
This is not a children's story. I thought it was and was surprised to experience a very different Snow White story. First it's different but really interesting. Next, I'm going to say it's for a more mature audience due to some of the worldly experiences in the story. I am going to say it's more for literature and would be good for a woman's studies story. I shall also recommend that it not be for an elementary or middle school library. I wouldn't put it in a high school library as well. It is perfect for public library. It's also very strange. It's good but it's not just a story, lots of symbology and history and culture. Good for a studies to use for discussion.
