As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Beastly by Alex Flinn
I love the original Beauty and the Beast tale. A student got me to read Beastly a contemporary adaptation of the story. The story is told in the beast's point of view. He's a awful teen boy who is rich and privileged. Kyle Kingsbury has no heart and is not very nice either. When a curse is put on him to turn him into a monster, he lives in isolation with a blind teacher and a housemaid for companions. Will the curse ever be lifted. Seemingly impossible.
A great read. I look forward to reading more of her books.
