It’s Not What You’ve Got! By Wayne Dyer and Kristina Tracy

I like this picture book.  I'm also a fan of Wayne Dyer and sad he's gone but glad he left great books, video tapes and audiobooks about living a better life.  This book is a great starting point to get the conversation started about money.  You'll be seeing this book on my high school library shelf.

The Money Class by Suze Orman

I like Suze Orman,  I've heard her talk about her financial mistakes that led to making her become a better money manager.  Her life experiences and her education about making money earns her the credentials of being a money expert.  I'm starting a program in my library about money matters.  This book will be added to the resource section about money.  Audio book also very good.  Enjoy and learn about money.

Clark Howard’s Living Large in Lean Times by Clark Howard

I'm looking at books to add to my library to help my students find more information on money management.  My goal is to make them better aware of the importance of having a plan for money earned and spent.  This book will be added to my collection even though it is adult reading the reading is written for easy comprehension.  The audio book also very good.

Money Master The Game 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom by Tony Robbins

I'm starting a new program for my high school students.  I'm reading and reviewing various books on the matters of money.  I will add this title to my shopping list and put it reference.  I think some students will find this a good resource.  The audiobook also good.

The Trials of Apollo The Burning Maze by Rick Riordan

I know I have lots of teens who love Rick Riordan books.  This is another one I'll need to add to my high school library.  Mythology plus contemporary teens makes mythology refreshed and priming students for the study of the past.  Enjoy.

The Lady Janies My Lady Jane by Hand Ashton and Meadows

This is too funny.  History rewritten in an alternate universe.  The audiobook is the best with one of my favorite readers.  Great energy and humor in this story.  Enjoy.   I am looking forward to the next book.  I think it will appeal to a certain group of readers who enjoy Dr. Who stories. 

Captivate: The Science of Succeeding with People by Vanessa Van Edwards

I listened to the audio version of this book and learns some great hints and suggestions.  I think I would like this for my high school library for self help.  It's a positive book.  Enjoy.

Jane Austen Mysteries Jane And the Waterloo Map by Stephanie Barron

I love Jane Austen.  She's one of my favorite authors.  This new series is fresh and who doesn't love a good mystery.  I am looking forward to reading more.  This is more for my pleasure reading and not in consideration of my high school library.  Enjoy.

The Debt-Free Spending Plan: An Amazingly Simple Way to Take Control of Your Finances Once and for All by Joanneh Nagler

I'm getting ready to start a new program in my high school library about finances.  My goal is to have information, guest speakers and bring in questions students have about money.  My concern is that some people may not be as prepared about money matters by the time they are ready for adulthood.  I I plan on ordering this book and others for my high school library to help my students be better managers of their own resources.

Bruce Bruce’s Big Move by Ryan T Higgins

I love this series.  Bruce is darling.  A grumpy old bear who ends up adopting geese.  Start with book one and keep going.  Even though it's a young children's picture book, it's entertaining for all ages.  Filled with humor and adventure.  It's a great read.

Dear Martin by Nic Stone

I would say definitely read this book before you consider including in the library.  It has some language to consider and be aware of but more importantly it reflects what is going on the world with police shootings of people of color.  It is an important read.

The Penderwicks The Penderwicks at Last by Jeanne Birdsall

I love this series and I think this might be the last one. One can hope that the story picks up with grandchildren.  The family is darling.  Sometimes it is nice to read about a family who is a lovely connected and close family.  Enjoy.

Constellation Defy The Worlds by Claudia Gray

I liked this story a lot.  It had lots of good elements to make it a good read.  I am looking forward to more of Claudia Gray books.  Fine for any high school library.  Enjoy.

Carve the Mark The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth

Sometimes I think authors get inspiration from the news around them.  Good story.  Fine for high school.  Read book 1 first. 

Aftermath by Kelly Armstrong

I liked the story but it's more of a "Gaslight" kind of story.  There's a thriller/mystery.  It's good.  I'm glad it's at the Public Library.  I don't know if I would put it in a high school library just because of the shooting.  I want to be sensitive to tragedies of high school shootings.  Over all it's a good mystery. 

All Rise for the Honorable Perry T. Cook by Leslie Connor

This is a perfect book for middle schools.  Its a good story that incorporates determination, kindness, respect and research.  Perry is pretty mature for his age.  It's a good story.  Enjoy.

Arc of A Scythe Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

Oh my goodness.  Wow such an intense story and a real page turned.  I would love to meet Neal Shusterman and ask where do you get such ideas?  It's good, evil and in the middle.  Powerplays, plot twists and surprises.  I'm looking forward to the next book.  So getting this for my high school library.  It's a good read.

Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornoll

I liked the book very much.  I know there are people who struggle to leave their homes. This book is fine for any high school library.
