The Taking: The Replaced by Kimberly Derting

It's a good series and I will get for my library.  The audio book is also good.  It's pretty entertaining plus a love triangle.  I think teens will be entertained.  Enjoy.

Six of Crows: Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo is brilliant!  This layered story brings you in to the best con game ever and the worst.  I am so buying this for my library.  The audio book is also great.  Best fight scene ever written.  Oh I don't condone fighting but it was well written.  Cringe worthy.  It's a great book.  Lots of turns and double turns.  Enjoy.

Project Nemesis: Nemesis by Brendan Reichs

Think Gone by Michael Grant and Lord of the Flies and a bit of Project X.  It's survival, it's a mystery and it's a group of teens ending up stuck in their town and everyone else is gone.  If you liked Gone,  you'll like this story as well.  The audio book is also good.  Enjoy.  Will get for my high school library.

The Crossover: Booked by Kwame Alexander

Fine for any school library.  It's a good story.  Enjoy.

Twisted Tales: A Whole New World by Liz Braswell

Audio book is good.  Fine for any high school library.  It doesn't follow the traditional story exactly nor does it follow the Disney animation as much either.  A fresh look at a classic story.  Enjoy.

Ladies in Love Series: Amaryllis by Marion Chesney/M. C. Beaton

It's a regency romance novel.  A quick entertaining read.

Merry Muffin Mystery: Much Ado About Muffin by Victoria Hamilton

The audio book tells a good murder mystery story.  Enjoy.

Haunted Home Renovation Mystery: Dead Bolt by Juliet Blackwell

The audio books is good.  I just enjoy a good murder mystery.  Enjoy.

This book should be in every library.  It's a great series.  The audio book also very good.

Agatha Raisin: Hiss and Hers by M. C. Beaton

It's a great murder mystery set in Great Britain.  You have got to love Agatha Raisin.  Enjoy the audio book as well.

Dividing Eden: Into the Garden by Joelle Charbonneau

It's a novella.  Very short story.  Read the backstory that starts Dividing Eden.  Enjoy.

The audio book is a delight to listen to with this murder mystery.  Enjoy a good mystery.

Saving Zoe by Alyson Noel

There is some mature content in this story.  Alcohol, sinister people, and sex.  Would  I put this in the library.  No.  But it is a page turner and I'm glad the public library has it.  It's a big mystery.

Talk Like Ted: The 9 Public-Speaking Secrets of the World’s Top Minds

This is a good book as a gift for someone going to college or speak to groups of people.  The audio book is a good helpful one to listen to when one is looking for improvement.  Enjoy.

The audio book is good.  Would I buy it for my high school library, probably not but I'm glad the public library has it.  It's different but it's fine.

The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui

It's important that we understand what refugee families have sacrificed and endured to make it to a safe place to raise their family and just to live and survive.  This is a graphic novel of a family in the 1970's living in Vietnam and how things become dangerous for them.  It's the story of a girl and her family making the journey to a new world, America and adapt to a different culture and time.  Now she's a grown woman, married and just gave birth to her first child.  It's a time to step in to her mother's shoes and see her mother differently.  It's brilliant.  We need these stories.  I'm also pairing this with another book I'm reading,  Tigerfish. This too is the story of another refugee, also leaving with her family from Vietnam.  We must treasure these stories they are part of the global history that so many other families share.
