A Million Junes by Emily Henry

This is a great story.  A little bit of paranomral and a bit of love story for teens.  Fine for any high school library.  I have in my high school library.  Enjoy.

The Alice Network by Kate Quinn

This is an intense story.  The audio book is also good.  There was a real spy network of women fighting the fight.  This historical fiction works well, very believable and the page turner.  It should be in high schools so students and adults understand the sacrifices that were made.  I would say for older mature readers some of the women are tortured and also forced to have sex.  Again this is a good book.  It's historical drama at it's best.  It's a good read.

The Land of Stories: Trollbella Throws a Party by Chris Colfer

Just as charming as all the other books.  It's a short story, fine for any elementary library.  Audio book also charming.  Enjoy.  Great illustrations as well.

Agatha Raisin: The Witches’ Tree By M. C. Beaton

Agatha Raisin is a fun read.  or listen too.  Go to Britain and visit the small town and meet the characters that are friends of Agatha Raisin.  Enjoy.

The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do In Life & Business by Charles Duhigg

Great book and the audiobook is a great listen.  Looking for improvement and also understanding of habits.  I would listen to this book again.

The Diviners: Before the Devil Breaks You by Libba Bray

Oh must get for my high school library.  This is one intense book and Libba Bray is not afraid to make you scared.  The audio book is well done.  Ghosts, lies, government cover up and murder is just the beginning of this story.  Wait till you get to the end!  I'm looking forward to book 4.  Enjoy.

Sarah Booth Delaney: Rock-a-Bye Bones by Carolyn Haines

I do love a good murder mystery and I'm hooked on this series.  It's funny, dangerous, sexy and sleuthing.  Enjoy a good southern story.

The story continues and the intensity just builds.  Fine for any high school library.  The audiobook also good.  Enjoy.

Kate Grable: Bad Hair Day By Carrie Harris

I like this series.  I hope there are more.  I am going to buy for my high school library.  It's funny and a great murder mystery.  Enjoy.  The audiobook also good.

Kate Grable: Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris

This is a funny monster book that I will get for my high school library.  Kate is a nerdy girl who boys want to ask out for Homecoming dance.  She's got a lab at school she likes to work.  Enjoy, it's a fun read.

Practical Magic: The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman

Alice Hoffman is one of my favorite authors.  The audio book is great as well as the story.  This is the back story of Practical Magic.  Enjoy the story of love, loss and redemption.  Enjoy.

Wishtree by Katherine Applegate

In a world where refugees and fleeing from dangerous situations and facing new ones, this story should be added to libraries.  Wishtree is a story about making changes for the better.  Enjoy.

The audiobook is a good easy listen too.  The story is a sweet story.  Enjoy.

It's a good series and I will get for my library.  The audio book is also good.  It's pretty entertaining plus a love triangle.  I think teens will be entertained.  Enjoy.

Six of Crows: Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo is brilliant!  This layered story brings you in to the best con game ever and the worst.  I am so buying this for my library.  The audio book is also great.  Best fight scene ever written.  Oh I don't condone fighting but it was well written.  Cringe worthy.  It's a great book.  Lots of turns and double turns.  Enjoy.

Project Nemesis: Nemesis by Brendan Reichs

Think Gone by Michael Grant and Lord of the Flies and a bit of Project X.  It's survival, it's a mystery and it's a group of teens ending up stuck in their town and everyone else is gone.  If you liked Gone,  you'll like this story as well.  The audio book is also good.  Enjoy.  Will get for my high school library.

Fine for any school library.  It's a good story.  Enjoy.

Audio book is good.  Fine for any high school library.  It doesn't follow the traditional story exactly nor does it follow the Disney animation as much either.  A fresh look at a classic story.  Enjoy.

It's a regency romance novel.  A quick entertaining read.

Merry Muffin Mystery: Much Ado About Muffin by Victoria Hamilton

The audio book tells a good murder mystery story.  Enjoy.

This book should be in every library.  It's a great series.  The audio book also very good.

It's a great murder mystery set in Great Britain.  You have got to love Agatha Raisin.  Enjoy the audio book as well.

It's a novella.  Very short story.  Read the backstory that starts Dividing Eden.  Enjoy.

Saving Zoe by Alyson Noel

There is some mature content in this story.  Alcohol, sinister people, and sex.  Would  I put this in the library.  No.  But it is a page turner and I'm glad the public library has it.  It's a big mystery.

This is a good book as a gift for someone going to college or speak to groups of people.  The audio book is a good helpful one to listen to when one is looking for improvement.  Enjoy.

The audio book is good.  Would I buy it for my high school library, probably not but I'm glad the public library has it.  It's different but it's fine.

I like this series.  It's written beautifully and the plot has many layers to it.  Fine for any high school library.  Enjoy.

The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui

It's important that we understand what refugee families have sacrificed and endured to make it to a safe place to raise their family and just to live and survive.  This is a graphic novel of a family in the 1970's living in Vietnam and how things become dangerous for them.  It's the story of a girl and her family making the journey to a new world, America and adapt to a different culture and time.  Now she's a grown woman, married and just gave birth to her first child.  It's a time to step in to her mother's shoes and see her mother differently.  It's brilliant.  We need these stories.  I'm also pairing this with another book I'm reading,  Tigerfish. This too is the story of another refugee, also leaving with her family from Vietnam.  We must treasure these stories they are part of the global history that so many other families share.

Refugee by Alan Gratz

Refugees must face so much sacrifice and dangers to get to safety.  How many of us understand the dangers that force refugees to leave and then escaping to a safe place.  How many refugees have died to escape dangerous situations?  This book creates the story over several different decades and different parts of the world.  It's worth the read and I'm getting it for my library.  Audio book also good.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

I grew up with Wonder Woman from the '80's.  I haven't seen the new movie yet.  I am a fan of Leigh Bardugo.  It's a good book.  Builds a good background story about Princess Diana of the Amazons.  The audio book works well also.  Enjoy.

Dunkirk: The History Behind the Major Motion Picture by Joshua Levine

I'm getting this for the library.  I listened to the audiobook and was well done.  I haven't seen the movie as of yet.  The book fills in lots of information and personal stories.  It's an important read.

The Daughters of Mannerling: The Romance By Marion Chesney/M. C. Beaton

I'm a fan of M. C. Beaton and regency romances.  Not for high school but if you have vacation time, it's entertaining.  The audio book is a good listen to while driving errands around town.

You Bring the Distant Near by Mitali Perkins

It's a good read.  It's a good listen on audiobook as well.  Travel through time in this story from 1965 to now.  I'm getting this for my high school.  Lots of issues from family dysfunction, figuring ones self and society.  This story stays with you long after you have finished it.  Enjoy.

Lockwood & Co: The Empty Grave by Jonathan Stroud

If you are a fan, this is the best book yet.  But of course you must have read the first four first.  The audio book is a delicious listen time.  Fine for any school library.

Lockwood & Co: The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud

This series should be in all middle and high school libraries.  It's Ghostbusters meed Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Gilmore Girls.  Great snappy dialogue and an engaging story line.  The audio books also give it a British air.  Enjoy.

Beren and Luthien by J. R. R. Tolkien

This is for die hard J R R Tolkien fans.  Fans of high fantasy.  It's a love story written beautifully and basically in old English style.  Not for high school libraries unless you have one really nerdy high school library patrons.  This is a book that must be read with loving appreciation of the old English style.  Take your time and enjoy, savoring each word.  For the serious readers.

The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda

This is a page turner and perfect for adult book clubs.  It's like riding a roller coaster in the dark.  Oh my goodness.  Not for high school libraries.   It's a thriller Is Leah crazy or is she sane?  It's a good read!

Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau

Oh my this is one intense story.  I listened to this in audiobook and it really works.  Think a junior version of Game of Thrones.  I'm getting this for my high school library.  Enjoy.
