The Lost Hours Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare
Part of the Shadow Hunters series. There is a bit of predictability to the story. It's still fine to add to high school libraries.
Road Trip by Gary and Jim Paulsen
A great book to read written by father and son about the relationship of a father and son. Rescue dogs are the catalyst but finding what family is about and making friends is a great read. Enjoy.
Jujutsu Kaisen Vol.0. By Blue One
Teens fighting curses having special powers. This series is popular with kids. This one I wouldn't buy for our school. There was a scene with three teens that were hung by these monsters. There is some violence.
Ao Haru Ride, Vol. 1 by Sakisaka & Louie-Nishikawa
I'm new to the world of Manga. I liked this one so far. It's a sweet growing up/coming of age of becoming a teenager. Making friends, falling in love, figuring it out. I would add this one to my school library.

Pony by R. J. Palacio
Just Like That by Gary D. Schmidt
This story will stay with you for a while. Two stories collide once the two main characters end up meeting. A good read. What's nice is that some of the adults are super good people.
Camper & Criminals Sunsets, Sabbatical & Scandal by Tonya Kappes
It's a great cozy murder mystery. The whole community is charming and tight. It's a good read/series. Enjoy.
Smoke and Mirrors by K. D. Halbrook
This magical story is filled with all sorts of emotions. It's a very good book/story. Add this one to your children's book shelves. A touching story.

It's a cozy murder mystery, Hattie is adorable. She comes across innocent but she does have a devious side. She also has a possible romance happening while helping solve a mystery.

So Many Beginnings by Bethany C Morrow
It's a good story to add to school library. Told in the perspective of former slaves now free. How they were part of a group of people to build a free town in the north. A good read.
Beasts and Beauty by Soman Chainani
A dark perspective of fairy tales. I think maybe not for school libraries but perfect for public libraries.

The Revenge of Magic The Future King by James Riley
An Inquiry into Love and Death by Simone St. James
This is a modern gothic tale of a murder mystery. There is a ghost story that terrorizes the locals but there is also two more mysteries in the story. It's an interesting read. Not a cozy read but more of a dark mystery.

Wonderous Rex by Patricia MacLachlan
This is an entertaining book for young people who like dogs. It's a sweet read. It's a gentle read. Fine for any young reader's library.
Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron
Hundreds of years go by after Cinderella had her ball. The world has become oppressive for women and girls. But there are a few who will do what they can to make the world a better place. Magic and witchcraft. This new not Cinderella fights for what she believes in and also for the woman she loves. I think this would be a good book to add to high school libraries. Especially if you are looking for LGBTQ for teen readers.
Aaron Tucker As Dog Is My Witness by Jeffrey Cohen
I think I found a new series in the world of cozy murder mysteries. A good read and brings you into the world of Asperger. The main character is the father of a teen with Asperger. I like how the teen helps on the case.
My Weird School Miss Suki is Kooky! By Gutman & Paillot
Another fun and silly book for children to enjoy. It's a good series and fine for any children's library.
My Weird School Miss Daisy Is Crazy! By Gutman & Paillot
It's a fun silly book that should be in all children's libraries. A quick read to enjoy. Miss Daisy is actually pretty smart and tricks students to figure out math and reading. Enjoy.
The Accursed Inheritance of Henrietta Achilles A House Divided by Horning & Pawlitza
I liked this novel. It's a bit confusing but there is a lot of drama going on in this magical house. Enjoy. I've added this to my high school library.
Green Lantern Legacy by Minh Le & Andie Tong
Minh Le is a talented in creating stories. This graphic novel has great images and the story line is nicely created. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this in the series. Love the back story on the grandmother. I'm adding this to my high school library.

A novel about a middle age woman who is searching for answers about questions of the past. Three women who were teens in the past that were very tight end up guarding secrets that tear them apart.
An excellent read. This book stays with you for days.

Jujusu Kaisen by Gege Akutami
This is my first manga, recommended my one of my students, when I mentioned I wanted to purchase some manga. I can see my students enjoying this book. It's fine for purchase. I'll add this one to my library collection.
Girl on a Motorcycle by Novesky & Morstad
I loved this book! It's a great read. I would add this one to my high school library. The fact that it is all true makes me want to learn more about this young woman. A great read.

This is a good read for cultural diversity. It's a good book to grace the shelves of many libraries. Enjoy.
Shirley Chisholm Is A Verb! By Chambers & Baker
This is a good book to add to any library shelf. It's important to have positive role leaders in libraries and this one fits the bill. Though it is a picture book, readers can quickly learn facts and information about Shirley Chisholm. A good read.

I liked this graphic novel and would like to add it to my high school library. There is some romance but also family dynamics, friend dynamics and finding your true self. A good read.
Too Small Tola by Atinuke
This is a darling book that takes the reader to a different world. Travel to the local village as Tola who is very small and the youngest, getting teased by her older siblings. Grandmother recognizes her talents and helps her become more confident. A good read.
