As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
Are you a fan of the Shadow Hunter Series? Here's a new one, with a southern flare. I already have this one in my high school library. An entertaining read. Enjoy.
The Last Hours Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
This is a popular series: The Shadow Hunter and it's spin offs. Here's a new one. Teens saving the world no matter what century they live in. Lots of action and subterfuge. To be lady like and also wield a sword. It's a fun read. Fine for high school libraries.
A Life Without Flowers by Marci Bolden
I love this series. The author keeps it real. It's a hard subject to write about but she nails it. A good read. Add this to your adult book club reading list.
Enola Holmes The Case of the Missing Marquess by Nancy Springer
This is spin off of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories. The exception? It's Enola Holmes, much younger sister of Sherlock Holmes. It's a great mystery story that never stops from page 1 till the end. I look forward to reading more of the series. A good read. Enjoy.

An Emotion of Great Delight by Tahereh Mafi
This is an artfully crafted book that I want in my library. Each word is weighted with depth and poignancy. The story grabs you from the beginning. A book that I need to add to the library. An excellent read.
Starters Portrait of a Marshal by Lissa Price
A good science fiction series to follow. I think I have it in my high school library the main books, not the novellas. A good add.
A Starters Story Portrait of a Donor by Lissa Price
A great series. It's a good read. This short mini-novel is an intro to the main series. There are two more mini-novels in the series.
There Will Come A Darkness by Katy Rose Pool
I loved this book. A new saga. The different characters: A prince with out a country. Two sisters, one can kill with a touch of her hand, a reluctant prophet. An evil brother. Different graces or abilities and an evil entity trying to take the graces away from people. A good book. I would like to add this to my high school library. A good read.
