This is a sweet book to read to children, especially right before bed time. A good gift to give to new parents.
As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Unplugged by Gordon Korman
This is a perfect entertaining book for middle school students. Jett is angry that he has to be babysat by one of his father's employee because he get's in trouble all the time. He's sent to a camp that he tries to go against the system. When he sneaks out he finds a secret illegal business with lots of surprises. A good read.
Fire Keeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
This is an amazing book! I plan to get this for my school library. It's part mystery, part cultural diversity, drugs, romance and tragedy. There are some hard scenes in the book but worth the read. The strength of the main character makes this story a compelling one. A great read! I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

All The Way To The Top by Annette Bay Pimentel
A good read about how children can make a difference. And don't let a physical challenge stop you.
You have the power to make a difference just like Annette did! Add this one to your children's library.
Eyes That Kiss In the Corners by Ho & Ho
Superheroes Are Everywhere by Kamala Harris
It's a nice book to add to a children's library. It's nice to read with a young child and prompt conversations with children to connect superhero with people in the young reader's life. A good book. Enjoy.
What We’ll Build by Oliver Jeffers
A beautiful poem to a child. A great gift to give to a father of a new born. Add this one to your children's library. What We'll Build by Oliver Jeffers
Grumpy Monkey by Lang & Lang
This Promise of Change by Boyce and Levy
I wish libraries carried books like this when I was a young person. We need books like this so that we see history for what it is and not glossed over. I am going to get this book for my high school library. A good and important book to add and share with students.
Outcasts United by Warren St. John
Reminds me a bit of when I taught at a Newcomer school. A coach who does so much for her team. She asks for a lot back. Members from all over the world. Read their back stories and then what changes when they come to the United States.
The Derby Daredevils Kenzie Kickstarts a Team by Rosewater & Escabasse
I liked this book. I liked that the two best friends start becoming their own in identities and also learn to still be friends after the fight. Also I liked how they worked out and adapted to their goal of forming a roller derby team. A good read. Enjoy.
The Accelerati Trilogy Tesla’s Attic by Shusterman and Elfman
Wow! Add this one to your elementary and middle school library. A good read. I love how the kids work together to stop the bad guys. I'm looking forward to reading book 2. I love the catchers baseball mitt that catches meteorites. Great plot.
Legacy by Nikki Grimes
I am getting this book for my library. I love that Nikki Grimes takes a line from the various poems and makes them into a new poem. A very smart book that would be great for African American Literacy. I'm going to recommend this book to our teacher.
The Hug by Eoin McLaughlin & Polly Dunbar
This is a very sweet book. Add this one to your school library or children's home library. Simple pictures focus on telling the story. Enjoy.
