As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Ruby Oliver The Treasure Map of Boys by E. Lockart
I like this series. Some maturity for this series. I would add to my high school library. It's about relationships at the peer level. Also, Ruby is starting to mature and see other people's sides of things. I would add to my high school library.
Ruby Oliver The Boy Book by E. Lockhart
I liked this book. Some mature themes but great for older teens. Relationships can be complicated in teen world and this book is a good book for teens to read. Fine for high school libraries.

Ruby Oliver The Boyfriend List by E. Lockart
I have this in my library but haven't read it yet until today. It's teen life in the relationship with adults and peers. How best friends can become ex-best friends and dating can be a challenge at times. It's a good read.

Fame, Fate and the First Kiss by Kasie West
This book will be fine in any high school library. When kids ask for romance.... hand them this book. I'll get for my school library. Enjoy.
As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti
Heads up there's a few f-bombs. It's an interesting book. I don't think it will be mainstream but I do think it will appeal teens who have a bit of a rebel streak in them. It's a good read.

I was looking forward to book 3 since I loved the first two books. I don't know. I really couldn't get into this story as much. It's alright. I was a little disappointed
A Cat Latimer Mystery Sconed to Death by Lynn Cahoon
Willa of the Wood by Robert Beatty
A very special story about the world around us. This book has many messages and should grace the shelves and get into the hands of our young readers. Add this book to your !
Winterhouse by Ben Guterson
It's a great book. Think Harry Potter at a hotel with limited magic. It's a good read and great for any school library in elementary and middle school.
Orphan Island by Laurel Snyder
There is a mystery about this story. How did the children get special clothes and books. They live on an island that should do no harm. Where are these children coming from and where are they going. There are no adults on this island. Not my favorite story. I would pass on this one.
A Bandit’s Tale by Deborah Hopkinson
It's okay. Fine for middle school libraries. It was a basic story about immigrants stories coming through Ellis Island and trying to survive.
The Goldfish Boy by Lisa Thompson
This is a good read. Matt has some sever mental anguish after the loss of his infant brother. When a neighbor's grandson goes missing, Matt was the last one to see the boy from his bedroom window. It's a heartfelt story.
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
Some serious family dysfunction taking place but Dill has great friends who they all accept each other. It's a good read. Fine to add to any high school library.

The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe by Ally Condie
It's a page turner. Poe is a smart young woman who knows how to design deadly ships. When she must face some truths that are revealed to her, her world flips over and over. It's a good read. Fine for any high school library.
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
This books stays with me still and I read it a few months ago. The shark attacks are so vivid. It feels like you are on the life raft. This book is well written. It would be fine to add to high school libraries as well.
