As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Mimus by Lilli Thal
I love this story. It is loaded with layers of excellent story telling. It is on the dark side. It's about surviving in the enemy's castle. It's about growing up and maturing also. I read this years ago but reading about The Returning reminded me of Mimus. I had one student who kept reading it over and over. I had to force him to find a new book. Of course I helped him with the choices since I had introduced him to Mimus in the first place.
