Small Spaces by Katherine Arden

I thought this story was pretty scary and would be perfect for my students to enjoy.  Think Goosebumps and Stephen King blended together.  Katherine Arden, is a masterful story teller.  I've read some of her other works.  She can tell a story.  The audio book also very good.  Enjoy.

Warcross Wildcard by Marie Lu

This is one intense book.  If you like Ready Player One or any online game plot books then this series is the book for you.  I have book one in my high school library.  Now I need to get book 2.  Adventure, twists and turns.  This book will entertain your reading thirst.  Enjoy.

My So Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma

I liked this story it's a bit like an Indian Pride and Prejudice set in modern times.  It's a cute read.  Enjoy.

The Custard Protocal Competence by Gail Carriger

This book is for the quirky.  I enjoyed the book but deemed it not quite right for high school libraries.  Its not your mainstream book.  It borderlines on the passion of a relationship between two creatures looking for happiness.  It's fine for personal libraries and for public libraries.

Catwoman Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas

I really liked this book.  The story was engaging and the agenda of Catwoman isn't revealed to the very end.  I'm getting this for my high school library.  It's a good read.  A little on the edgy side but good.

The Bliss List Discover What Makes You Happy Then Land Your Dream Job by J P Hansen

I liked this book.  I think it is fine for high school libraries and am considering this for my library at work.  The audio book is also good.  I'm working on looking for books that will inspire and help students with money management and career searches.

Crush It! Why Now is the time to Cash In On Your Passion by Gary Vaynerchuk

Lots of good ideas.  Perfect for private and public libraries.  Maybe not the best fit for high school.  It's fine for high school but I wouldn't add it to the collection.  The audiobook also good.

Star Touched Queen Star-Touched Stories by Roshani Chokshi

Roshani Chokshi is one of my new favorite authors.  I would just love to have dinner with her and hear her speak.  If you love mythology, culture from around the world, love and romance and tragedy plus smart stories then this series is for you.  Enjoy and add this to your high school library.  You'll thank me later.

The Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews

I loved this book!  I bought years ago and it sat on my shelf.  Finally I listened to the audio version.  I am donating my copy to my high school library.  It's right up there with The Shack.  Excellently done.  I'm looking forward to reading more of Andy Andrews's books.  This would make a good graduation gift to those who are readers.  Enjoy.

This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada

Thank you Junior Library Guild for recommending this one.  I listened to the audio book from my favorite public library.  It was so suspenseful.  The characters are well developed.  And there is one that is just plain evil.  It's scifi at it's best.  Enjoy this book, it's perfect for high school libraries.

Grace and Fury by Tracy Banchart

This is on my shopping list for my high school library.  It is similar to The Selection and to Valiant.

Two sisters who love each other very much and are trained to have certain roles must switch roles when the prince decides on the sister who was to be a servant.  Then the other sister must learn to be a fighter when she is sent to an island prison.  Each sister must find her strength and confidence.  I'm looking forward to the second book.  There is some political challenges for the power.  It's a good book, Enjoy!

The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

I'm all for people learning to be better.  This is a good book for those who need to work on money management.  It's for adults but I am thinking I'll get this for my high school library.  It's always good to start learning about money management at a young age.  Audio book also good.

Ranger’s Apprentice: Royal Ranger The Red Fox Clan by John Flanagan

I am buying this series for the library.  I enjoy the adventure and smartness of the story line.  And how both young men and young women can save the day.  Team work is also important in the story.  If you like Redwall series and Lord of the Rings series, Robin Hood and Game of Thrones then you will enjoy this story very much.  The audiobooks has an excellent reader that give the characters life.  Enjoy.

Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin

What I liked about the book is the examples that the author shared with the reader.  Real life examples that explained behaviors and the motivations that could tie in with it.  The audio book also very good.  Maybe a little to advanced for my high school students, but I certainly would recommend this book to them and anyone else looking to change and grow.  Enjoy.
