As a teacher-librarian, I have the opportunity to read young adult books to share with my students. The list that I have provided will have an overview of the book and personal comments. They are on a Book-mercial style image to get a taste of the essence of the book.

Arch-Conspirator by Veronica Roth
This is a futuristic retelling of the classic Greek Antigone. I think it would be interesting to compare the two stories. It's a good book/audibook. I wouldn't get it for my library but maybe for a class novel.

The Marrow thieves Hunting by Stars by Cherie Dimaline
The story continues in this Native American dystopian series. A serious good read. Both books fine for high school libraries. The first peoples are hunted for their marrow as the cure for a disease that has hit people and spreading. The twist is it is brother against brother in this story as family is reunited by accident.
The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline
A good action read written by a talented author for all of us to read. Learn a bit more about first nation peoples in the futuristic and super scary book. A story in which a disease takes over people and the government does some very bad things. Worse, regular citizen behaving badly. A story about survival. An intense read.
